SimBin

SimBin AB, commonly known as SimBin Studios, is a Swedish video game developer specializing in racing simulations. The company rose to prominence in the mid-2000s for creating realistic PC racing titles that attracted a dedicated community of sim racers.

Its best-known releases include the GTR series (GTR and GTR2) and Race 07, as well as GT Legends. The games are noted for their emphasis on authentic driving physics, broad car rosters, and licensing of real-world racing series, helping to set a high standard for PC racing simulations during that era and influencing later titles in the genre.

Facing financial difficulties in the early 2010s, SimBin reorganized its assets and personnel into Sector3 Studios. Sector3 continued racing-simulation development and launched the RaceRoom Racing Experience platform, a free-to-play online racer with paid content, in the following years. The SimBin lineage thus persisted through Sector3 Studios, which maintained a focus on realism-oriented racing games and online communities.
