Siirtymäanimaatiot, often translated as transition animations, are visual effects used to smoothly move between different screens, pages, or states within a digital interface. They serve to guide the user's attention, provide context for the change, and enhance the overall user experience by making the interface feel more dynamic and less jarring.

These animations can take many forms, such as slides, fades, wipes, or more complex visual transformations. For example, when navigating from a list of items to a detailed view of a single item, a slide animation might move the new view in from the side, pushing the previous view off-screen. A fade animation might gradually decrease the opacity of the old screen while simultaneously increasing the opacity of the new one.
