Shruikan

Shruikan is a fictional dragon featured in Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Cycle book series. He is one of the few remaining dragons in the world of Alagaësia and is known for his immense size, formidable power, and connection to the antagonist Galbatorix.

Shruikan was originally bonded to a Dragon Rider named Valad. However, after Valad's death and Galbatorix's rise to power, Shruikan was captured and subjected to dark magic by Galbatorix. This magical manipulation twisted Shruikan's will, forcing him into servitude. He became Galbatorix's personal mount and a symbol of his tyranny.

Despite being under Galbatorix's control, Shruikan retains immense power. His scales are described as black and his roar is said to shake mountains. He possesses all the natural abilities of a dragon, including flight, fire-breathing, and an innate magical strength. His long enslavement has made him a fearsome and tragic figure in the narrative.
