Semilåggolv, or semi-low-floor, refers to a floor arrangement in which only a portion of a vehicle or building interior is lowered relative to the rest to provide level access at specific points. It is a hybrid between high-floor and full low-floor designs, balancing accessibility with structural or mechanical constraints.

In transport applications, semilåggolv is commonly found in buses and rail vehicles where the complete lowering of the entire floor is impractical due to engine, drive components, or freight spaces under the floor. The lowered section typically covers the entry zone near doors to create a level or gently sloping threshold, while the remaining floor remains higher to accommodate equipment or seating.

Construction and design considerations include ensuring a smooth transition between low and high sections, mitigating the risk of tripping, and integrating wheelchair-friendly access such as ramps or flush thresholds. The approach may also influence interior space planning, seating arrangement, and weight distribution.

Advantages include improved accessibility relative to traditional high-floor designs and lower cost or weight than a full low-floor solution.
