Seitenelastik
Seitenelastik, also known as side stretch, is a type of exercise that primarily targets the muscles of the sides of the body, including the obliques, quadratus lumborum, and lower back muscles. It is a popular exercise in various fitness routines, including yoga, Pilates, and general strength training. The exercise involves lying on one's back with the knees bent and the feet flat on the floor. The arms are extended out to the sides, with the palms facing down. The body is then slowly rotated to one side, bringing the elbow of the top arm towards the knee of the bottom leg. The rotation is held for a few seconds before returning to the starting position and repeating on the other side. Seitenelastik is beneficial for improving core strength, flexibility, and posture. It also helps in reducing lower back pain and improving overall body awareness. The exercise can be modified for different fitness levels by adjusting the intensity of the rotation or the duration of the hold.
