Schuylkill
The Schuylkill is a river in eastern Pennsylvania. Its name derives from the Dutch schuilkill, typically translated as hidden river or hollow creek. The river flows southeast for about 135 miles from the coal region through Schuylkill, Berks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties to its confluence with the Delaware River in Philadelphia. Along its course it passes through towns including Reading, Norristown, and Philadelphia, collecting several tributaries before reaching the city.
