Satsproduktion is a term used in linguistics, particularly in Scandinavian language contexts, to refer to the production of sentences or clauses. The word sats denotes a clause or full sentence, and produktion refers to the act of producing. The concept encompasses cognitive planning, grammatical encoding, lexical retrieval, phonological encoding, and articulation. It is studied in psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, and speech-language pathology to understand how speakers generate fluent utterances and how production can diverge from comprehension.

Production is typically described as occurring in stages: conceptualization, where the speaker decides the message; formulation, where linguistic structure is assembled and words are selected; and articulation, the physical realization of speech. Working memory, attention, and discourse context constrain planning and influence sentence complexity, word choice, and timing. Satsproduktion varies by language—some languages favor more expansive clauses, others permit tighter, telegraphic forms—and by individual factors such as age, proficiency, and impairment.
