Sarileru

Sarileru is a 2020 Indian Telugu-language action film directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role as Major Ajay Krishna, with Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, and Vijayashanti in supporting roles. The plot follows Major Ajay Krishna, a soldier tasked with a mission to protect the family of a fallen comrade. He travels to Kashmir to fulfill his promise, encountering numerous obstacles and adversaries along the way.

The film's production began in July 2019, with principal photography commencing shortly after. Filmed across various locations in India, including Kashmir, Visakhapatnam, and Ramoji Film City, Sarileru was shot with a significant budget. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music, while the cinematography was handled by R. Rathnavelu. The editing was done by Thammineni Verma.

Sarileru was released theatrically on January 11, 2020, coinciding with the Sankranti festival. It received a mixed critical reception, with praise for Mahesh Babu's performance and the action sequences, but criticism for its predictable plot and pacing. Despite the mixed reviews, the film achieved commercial success, becoming one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of 2020. It also marked the return of veteran actress Vijayashanti to acting after a long hiatus. The film was later dubbed into Tamil and Hindi.
