Ramoji

Ramoji Film City is a film studio complex and tourist destination located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, in the Indian state of Telangana. It was established by film producer and media magnate Ramoji Rao and opened to visitors in 1991. The facility is operated by the Ramoji Group, under Ushodaya Enterprises, and is named after Rao.

The complex covers about 1666 acres and is widely described as the largest film studio complex in the world. It contains numerous sound stages, outdoor sets, production facilities, and post-production services for film and television projects. In addition to production infrastructure, Ramoji Film City offers guided studio tours, themed attractions, hotels, and other visitor experiences.

Ramoji Film City serves as a major hub for Indian cinema, hosting shoots across multiple languages and accommodating international productions as well. Its facilities support a range of production activities, from set construction to special effects and editing, making it a versatile center for filmmaking and television production.

In 1997, Guinness World Records recognized Ramoji Film City as the world’s largest integrated film studio complex. The site continues to be a significant economic and cultural asset, contributing to the local economy through employment, tourism, and the broader entertainment industry in the region.
