Sanetomo
Sanetomo refers to Minamoto no Sanetomo, the third shogun of the Kamakura shogunate in Japan. Born around 1192 as a son of Minamoto no Yoritomo, the founder of the shogunate, and Hōjō Masako, he became the third shogun in 1204 after the death of his half-brother Yoriie. Although he held the title of shogun, much of the government power was exercised by the Hōjō regents, who controlled the regime from behind the scenes and ensured that military authority remained in their hands.
