Sandoy
Sandoy is one of the 18 islands of the Faroe Islands, an autonomous archipelago that is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. Located in the central part of the archipelago, Sandoy is known for its relatively flat terrain compared to other Faroese islands, which are often characterized by steep mountains. This makes Sandoy a popular destination for hiking and birdwatching, with a landscape dominated by bogs, heathland, and some sandy areas, giving the island its name which translates to "sand island."
