Sandfliesand

Sandfliesand is a common misspelling or phonetic interpretation of "sand flies." Sand flies are small, biting insects belonging to the family Simuliidae, commonly known as black flies. They are found worldwide, particularly in humid and temperate regions, often near bodies of water where they breed.

These insects are characterized by their stout bodies, humped backs, and dark coloration. Both male and female sand flies feed on nectar and plant juices, but the females require a blood meal to develop their eggs.
