SPhos
SPhos is a bulky, electron-rich biaryl phosphine ligand used to accelerate palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. It is widely employed in Buchwald–Hartwig amination and related couplings, including Suzuki–Miyaura reactions, especially with challenging substrates such as aryl chlorides and hindered electrophiles.
Structure and properties: SPhos belongs to the family of biaryl phosphine ligands designed to stabilize palladium
Applications and scope: In practice, SPhos is used with palladium sources (for example Pd(OAc)2 or Pd2dba3) and
Availability and usage: SPhos is commercially available from multiple suppliers and is widely used in academic
