SLSprosessit

SLSprosessit refers to the processes involved in Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). SLS is an additive manufacturing technology used to create three-dimensional objects from a powdered material. The process begins with a bed of powder, typically polymers like nylon, which is spread evenly across a build platform. A high-powered laser then selectively fuses or sinters particles of the powder together in specific areas, tracing a cross-section of the object.

Once a layer is sintered, the build platform lowers slightly, and a new layer of powder is applied over the previous one. The laser then sinters the next cross-section, bonding it to the layer below. This layer-by-layer fusion continues until the entire object is built. Unfused powder acts as support for the object during the build, eliminating the need for dedicated support structures in many cases.

After the printing process is complete, the build chamber is typically allowed to cool, and the excess unfused powder is removed from the finished part. This excess powder can often be reused for subsequent builds, making SLS an efficient process with good material utilization. SLSprosessit are known for producing robust and functional parts with good mechanical properties, making them suitable for end-use applications, prototyping, and complex geometries.
