Roolimine

Roolimine is the Estonian term for the activity of operating a vehicle, typically on public roads. It includes steering, accelerating, braking, gear engagement, and the overall control of the vehicle. The term is used to describe both casual driving and professional operation, such as for taxis, delivery, or freight, and applies to different types of road vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, trucks, and buses.

Operating a vehicle on public roads is subject to legal rules and standards. In most jurisdictions, roolimine requires formal authorization in the form of a driving license. Prospective drivers complete theory classes and practical training, pass a knowledge and a driving test, and meet minimum age requirements.
