Rillaboom

Rillaboom is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII. It is the final evolution of Grookey, evolving from Thwackey starting at level 35. Rillaboom is known for its large size and its association with musical instruments, particularly drums. Its body is covered in dark brown fur, with a lighter, lighter-colored fur around its chest and stomach. A large, leafy tuft grows from the top of its head, resembling a drumstick. It has large, round ears and a prominent muzzle.

Rillaboom's signature move is Grassy Glide, a Grass-type priority move. Its abilities include Overgrow, which powers up Grass-type moves when its HP is low. Its Hidden Ability is Grassy Surge, which summons Grassy Terrain upon entering battle, healing grounded Pokémon each turn and boosting the power of Grass-type moves. Rillaboom is often depicted as a powerful Pokémon that leads its troop with rhythmic drumming, its powerful swings capable of creating shockwaves. It is said to be able to communicate with other Pokémon through its drumming.

In battle, Rillaboom is a physically oriented Pokémon with high Attack and decent HP. Its typing gives it resistances to Water, Electric, and Grass-type moves, but it is vulnerable to Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug-type attacks. Its strong offensive presence, coupled with Grassy Surge, makes it a significant threat in both casual and competitive play. Rillaboom is the starter Pokémon of choice for players who select Grookey in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
