Relieftekniikassa
Relieftekniikassa, often translated as relief technique or relief printing, is a method of creating an image by incising or carving away a portion of a surface, leaving the desired image raised. This raised surface, or matrix, is then inked and pressed onto another material, typically paper or fabric, to transfer the image. The process is essentially the inverse of intaglio printing, where the image is created by incised lines that hold ink.
