Regjistrime

Regjistrime is the act and the process of recording information into an official registry, and the registers themselves when referred to in the plural. It encompasses the systematic collection, verification, storage, and retrieval of data used by public authorities or organizations to document events, rights, or attributes of individuals, organizations, or assets. The word originates from Latin registrum, and in Albanian it has developed into terms such as regjistrim (the act of registering) and regjistrime (the registers or the act in plural).

Common domains for regjistrime include civil status registries (births, marriages, deaths), land and property registries, company and business registrations, vehicle registrations, and electoral rolls, as well as educational or health records. In many countries, civil registries maintain vital records used for identity, inheritance, and access to public services, while land registries document ownership and rights in real estate.

Process and technology: Data are collected from authorities or individuals, verified for accuracy, entered into registry databases, and maintained with updates and audits. Access to information is typically controlled and subject to privacy and data protection laws.
