Redigeringsteamet (the editing team) is the editorial team within a publishing organization tasked with editing and preparing content for publication. Its responsibilities center on ensuring accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to house style before material reaches readers. In Danish-language media and publishing, the team may be part of a newsroom, magazine, or online operation and collaborates with writers, reporters, designers, and producers.

Typical roles include editors (redaktører), subeditors, copy editors, proofreaders, and fact-checkers. In smaller teams, individuals may cover multiple functions. Senior editors oversee content direction, deadlines, and compliance with legal and ethical standards; production editors manage the hand-off to layout and publication platforms.

The workflow usually progresses from development editing and line editing to copyediting and proofreading, with factual verification performed as needed. After edits are integrated, material is prepared for layout, final proofs are reviewed, and final sign-off is given by the editor-in-chief or equivalent authority. The team ensures consistency with brand voice, terminology, and regional considerations.

Tools commonly used include a content management system (CMS), word processing and markup tools, track changes, and project management software. Style guides and house manuals guide spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and terminology.
