RapportSchema is a standardized schema intended to describe the structure and metadata of analytical reports so they can be created, exchanged, and rendered consistently across software tools. It covers both the descriptive information about a report and the data that the report presents, enabling interoperability between data sources, analytics engines, and presentation layers.

Core concepts include report metadata (identifier, title, author, created date, version, language), content specification (datasets, metrics, dimensions, filters, aggregations), layout and visualization instructions (sections, order, chart types, table formats), and provenance details (data sources, calculation rules, data lineage).
