QPU
Qpu is a term that can refer to the quantum processing component at the heart of quantum computing, commonly abbreviated QPU, or to fictional place names in speculative settings. In quantum computing, a QPU (Quantum Processing Unit) is the specialized processor that implements quantum logic on qubits. It is designed to exploit quantum phenomena such as superposition and entanglement to perform certain tasks more efficiently than classical processors. A QPU typically operates in conjunction with classical control hardware and, in many implementations, at cryogenic temperatures to preserve quantum coherence.
