Põhijuurimus

Põhijuurimus is an Estonian term that translates to "root cause analysis" in English. It is a systematic problem-solving method used to identify the underlying reasons for an incident, error, or undesirable outcome. The primary goal of Põhijuurimus is not simply to address the immediate symptoms of a problem, but to discover and rectify the fundamental issues that allowed it to occur in the first place, thereby preventing recurrence.

Once potential root causes are identified, they are verified through evidence and analysis. Finally, corrective actions are developed and implemented to address the confirmed root causes, followed by a review to ensure the effectiveness of these actions.
