Pulberinhaler
Pulberinhaler is a type of inhalation device that delivers medications to the lungs in the form of a dry powder. It is commonly used for conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and may contain bronchodilators, corticosteroids, or combination therapies. Unlike metered-dose inhalers, powder inhalers do not rely on a propellant; instead, the patient’s own inhalation energy disperses the powder and carries the dose into the airways. Devices can be capsule-based, blister-based, or use pre-loaded doses in a chamber, with examples including HandiHaler (capsule-based), Diskus (blister-based), Turbuhaler, and Ellipta.
How it works and administration: Most powder inhalers are breath-activated and require the user to exhale away
Advantages and limitations: Pulberinhalers avoid propellants and can be compact with dose counters, but they depend
