PrusaSlicer

PrusaSlicer is a free, open-source 3D printing slicer developed by Prusa Research. It originated as Slic3r Prusa Edition, a fork of the Slic3r project, and was later renamed PrusaSlicer. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and provides both a graphical user interface and a command-line interface.

PrusaSlicer converts 3D models into printer-specific G-code. It includes printer and filament profiles, with built-in presets for Original Prusa i3 printers and support for custom configurations. The software supports multi-material printing with the MMU, automatic supports, ironing, and per-extruder or per-model overrides. It can import STL, OBJ, and 3MF files and export G-code for a wide range of printers.

The interface offers a 3D view with print preview, time and material estimates, and options for layer height, infill, supports, and other print settings. It also provides mesh repair and optimization tools and flexible printing workflows. PrusaSlicer integrates with OctoPrint and Prusa's ecosystem for streamlined printing.

Maintained by Prusa Research with input from an active community, PrusaSlicer is released under an open-source license. It receives regular updates that expand printer support and features, serving both Original Prusa users and the broader 3D printing community.
