Primiformia
Primiformia is a genus of fossil invertebrates known only from fragmentary remains. It was established on material recovered from marine sedimentary rocks and is primarily represented by small shell impressions that preserve only limited features. Because the available fossils are sparse and poorly preserved, the precise systematic position of Primiformia has long been debated. Some researchers have proposed molluscan affinities based on shell-like impressions, while others have suggested placement within early arthropod or other invertebrate groups; as a result, Primiformia has been treated in different ways in the paleontological literature.

Current understanding tends to treat Primiformia as a poorly defined genus whose exact relationships remain unresolved.
