Porzana
Porzana is a genus of small to medium-sized rails in the family Rallidae, commonly known as crakes. Species within Porzana are associated with freshwater and brackish wetlands, where dense vegetation provides cover. The genus has a widespread but patchy distribution, with species occurring in Europe and Asia (Eurasian crake), North America (sora), Africa, and parts of the Pacific. Taxonomically, Porzana has undergone revisions: several species formerly placed in Porzana have been moved to the closely related genus Zapornia, leaving a smaller core set of species in Porzana.

Behavior and diet: Porzana species feed mainly on small invertebrates, seeds, and occasionally small aquatic animals,
