Poolpolitieke is a term used in Dutch political discourse to describe an approach that centers on public opinion polling and data pooling to shape policy and political strategy. The component pool suggests aggregation—of surveys, data, or support—while politike denotes politics. In contemporary Dutch commentary, poolpolitieke is often invoked to describe strategies by parties, campaigns, or interest groups that tailor messaging to poll results and mobilize segments of the electorate identified through polling data, rather than on long-term programmatic commitments.

Characteristics commonly associated with poolpolitieke include basing policy priorities on poll findings, rapid adaptation of messaging to shifting poll trends, and the use of data analytics and micro-targeting to influence voter behavior. Proponents argue that this approach can enhance responsiveness and democratic accountability by aligning policy with public preferences. Critics, however, contend that it can reduce complex issues to numbers, encourage short-termism, and undermine deliberation and policy coherence. The emphasis on poll-driven narratives may also contribute to political polarization if competing sides present simplified positions designed to maximize support in the next survey.

Usage and reception vary. The term appears mainly in Dutch-language media and political analysis and is not a formal category in mainstream political science.
