Podpoils

Podpoils is a rural municipality in the northern lowlands of Eldoria, a fictional country. It includes the village of Podpoils and surrounding hamlets. Economy and infrastructure: The local economy centers on dairy farming, crops, and timber. A small cooperative processes local produce. Transportation is by regional road; a limited bus service connects Podpoils with nearby towns. There is no railway.

Governance and services: Podpoils is governed by an elected mayor and a nine-member municipal council. Public services include a primary school, a health clinic, a volunteer fire brigade, and a library. The council maintains a town square and a weekly market.

Culture and landmarks: The annual harvest festival is the main event. Notable sites include the medieval Podfort ruins, the 19th-century Market Hall, and the Chapel of Our Lady of the Lake. Local dishes feature dairy and mushrooms.

Demographics and language: The population is predominantly of Eldorian heritage with a local dialect. The municipality follows national civil law; religion is present but not central.
