The standard platform height varies by country and railway system, but it is typically around 760 mm (30 inches) above the top of the rails. This height allows for a step-free access for passengers with disabilities and mobility impairments, in accordance with accessibility standards such as those set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the European Accessibility Act.
