ADA

Ada is a feminine given name of Germanic origin. It derives from Adal, meaning noble, and has been used in various languages since the 19th century. The name gained international familiarity through prominent figures such as mathematician Ada Lovelace and Nobel laureate Ada Yonath, and it remains in use in many regions today.

Ada Lovelace (1815–1852) was an English mathematician and writer who worked on Charles Babbage's Analytical Engine. Her notes described early computer algorithms and analytic concepts, and she is widely regarded as the first computer programmer.

Ada is also the name of a structured, statically typed programming language designed in the late 1970s and standardized by ISO/IEC 8652. It was commissioned by the U.S. Department of Defense to improve software reliability for embedded and safety-critical systems.
