Plastspecifika is a term used to describe the properties, requirements, and considerations that characterize plastic materials in design, manufacturing, and testing. It encompasses how polymer-based materials behave differently from metals or ceramics and how their performance is influenced by chemistry, molecular structure, and processing conditions. Plastics may be amorphous or semi-crystalline, and their properties are often tuned through additives, fillers, stabilizers, blends, or copolymerization.

Key aspects of plastspecifika include mechanical properties such as tensile strength, stiffness, and impact resistance; thermal properties like glass transition temperature, melting point, heat resistance, and dimensional stability; and rheological behavior reflected in melt flow rate and processing viscosity.
