Planeløft, also known as "plane lifting" or "plane hoisting," refers to the process of raising a fixed-wing aircraft from the ground or water using specialized equipment. This technique is primarily used in aviation maintenance, salvage operations, or when an aircraft is grounded due to damage or mechanical issues that prevent it from taxiing or taking off under its own power.

The process typically involves the use of hydraulic jacks, cranes, or other lifting mechanisms to gradually elevate the aircraft’s wings and fuselage. In some cases, specialized "plane dollies" or "wing stands" are employed to support the aircraft during the lift. For amphibious aircraft or those operating from water, additional flotation devices or buoys may be used to stabilize the plane before lifting.
