Core characteristics of pintelligent systems include small model sizes, typically ranging from kilobytes to a few megabytes, and efficient inference algorithms. Techniques such as model quantization, pruning, and knowledge distillation are commonly used to reduce resource demands. Pintelligent implementations favor energy efficiency, offline operation, and deterministic latency, often on specialized hardware such as microcontrollers or mobile SoCs.
