Peräisillä

Peräisillä is a concept in Finnish culture, particularly prevalent in the northern regions of the country. The term is derived from the word "perä", meaning "rear" or "back", and "isillä", meaning "on land". In essence, peräisillä refers to the rear or back sections of a land, where the terrain slopes up towards the mountains or another elevation.

In peräisillä, the landscape is characterized by hills, valleys, and numerous small lakes and streams.
