Perushyötynä

Perushyötynä is a Finnish adverbial expression meaning “as a basic benefit” or “as the main benefit.” The form combines the words perus (basic) and hyöty (benefit) and is used to foreground a stated benefit as the core or baseline advantage. The construction is most commonly found in consumer texts, marketing material, policy summaries, and informal discourse.

In practice, perushyötynä introduces a claim that presents a benefit as fundamental rather than optional. It signals evaluative framing: the following assertion should be understood as the primary reason or justification.
