Pehmendid, also known as *pehmendid* (Estonian for "softeners" or "conditioners"), refer to a category of substances used primarily in textiles, leather, and other materials to improve their flexibility, softness, and durability. These compounds are often applied to prevent stiffness, cracking, or brittleness, particularly in materials exposed to wear or environmental stress.
