Pauropoda is a class of tiny, primitive myriapods within the subphylum Myriapoda. It is one of the four major groups of myriapods, alongside Diplopoda (millipedes), Chilopoda (centipedes), and Symphyla. Approximately a few hundred described species are known, and pauropods occur in soils and leaf litter worldwide, especially in moist microhabitats.
