Parascalops is a monotypic genus of North American moles in the family Talpidae. The only known species in this genus is Parascalops breweri, commonly known as Brewer's mole. This small mammal is found in the eastern United States, inhabiting moist woodlands, meadows, and the edges of forests. Its range extends from the Appalachian Mountains eastward to the Atlantic coast, and as far north as southern Canada.
