Paracausal

Paracausal refers to phenomena or forces that operate outside or alongside the normal, predictable chain of cause and effect. The term is often used in fiction, particularly in science fiction and fantasy, to describe powers or events that do not adhere to conventional scientific laws. In such contexts, paracausal elements might be attributed to magic, divine intervention, or advanced, poorly understood technologies.

The concept allows for narrative possibilities that transcend typical physical limitations. For example, a character might possess a paracausal ability to influence probability, or a location might have paracausal properties that warp reality in inexplicable ways.
