PVIntegration

PVIntegration is a software platform designed to facilitate the integration of photovoltaic (PV) generation data with energy management systems and grid analytics. It provides a centralized environment for collecting, normalizing, and storing time-series data from PV assets such as inverters, meters, and monitoring devices, and for distributing that data to downstream applications via APIs and standard interfaces.

Architecture and features include modular data connectors, data quality controls, time synchronization, and scalable storage. The platform supports real-time streams and historical datasets, with forecasting and analytics for irradiation, production, and capacity planning. It interoperates with energy management systems (EMS), distributed energy resource management systems (DERMS), and grid simulators, and can export data in CIM, OpenADR, MQTT, REST, and OPC UA formats depending on deployment. PVIntegration is available on-premises, cloud-hosted, or hybrid to suit utilities, developers, and researchers.

Applications span grid operation and planning, solar fleet monitoring, performance analysis, and billing or settlement workflows for asset owners. By consolidating PV data with weather information and other DERs, PVIntegration supports better forecasting, peak shaving, and outage management, while enabling data governance and access control.

Development and adoption: While many vendors offer PV data integration within their platforms, the term PVIntegration emphasizes interoperability.
