Påsfilter

Påsfilter is a Swedish term that translates to "bag filter" in English. It refers to a type of industrial dust collection system designed to remove solid particles from a gas stream. These filters are commonly used in various industries, including manufacturing, power generation, and waste management, to control air pollution and protect the environment.

The basic principle of a påsfilter involves drawing a gas stream containing dust particles through a series of fabric bags. These bags are typically made from synthetic or natural fibers that are woven or felted to create a porous surface. As the gas passes through the fabric, the dust particles are trapped on the outer surface of the bags, forming a dust cake. The cleaned gas then exits the filter.

Påsfilter systems are equipped with a mechanism to periodically clean the dust cake from the bags. This cleaning process is crucial to maintain the filter's efficiency and prevent excessive pressure drop. Common cleaning methods include shaking, reverse air pulsing, or a combination of both.
