Overactivating refers to the process of excessively stimulating or engaging a system, mechanism, or component beyond its intended or optimal operational capacity. This concept is commonly discussed in fields such as neuroscience, psychology, engineering, and computer science, where it can lead to unintended consequences or performance degradation.

In neuroscience and psychology, overactivation typically describes the excessive stimulation of neurons or neural pathways, often resulting in heightened stress responses, sensory overload, or cognitive fatigue.
