These membrane-bound compartments, such as mitochondria, the endoplasmic reticulum, and lysosomes, enable cells to carry out essential processes like energy production, protein synthesis, and waste degradation efficiently. The term "organellerini" is not a standard scientific designation but may derive from Turkish, where "organel" means "organelle" and the suffix "-ini" indicates possession or a possessive form, suggesting a focus on cellular organelles in a specific context.

Eukaryotic cells, which include those of plants, animals, fungi, and protists, contain a variety of organelles that work together to maintain cellular homeostasis. For example, mitochondria are often called the powerhouses of the cell due to their role in producing adenosine triphosphate (ATP) through cellular respiration. The endoplasmic reticulum (ER), divided into rough (studded with ribosomes) and smooth (lacking ribosomes) varieties, is involved in protein and lipid synthesis, respectively. The Golgi apparatus further modifies, sorts, and packages proteins and lipids for transport.
