Orderaggregaatin

Orderaggregaatin is a procurement concept and, in many systems, a module or service that collects internal purchase requests and consolidates them into a smaller number of purchase orders to suppliers. The aim is to simplify purchasing, reduce transaction costs, and secure favorable supplier terms by leveraging higher order volumes.

Inputs include internal requisitions from ERP modules, supplier contracts, and catalog data. The aggregation engine applies rules to group lines by supplier, item, delivery date, or other criteria, and may optimize quantities using economic order quantity or minimum order quantities. Users can set manual overrides for exceptions, and workflows handle approvals, changes, or split orders. The resulting consolidated purchase orders are transmitted to suppliers via EDI, APIs, or other interfaces, and the system tracks order status, receipts, and invoicing.

Benefits commonly cited include a reduced number of POs, lower administrative effort, better pricing and terms, improved compliance with procurement policies, and enhanced visibility into spend and supplier performance.
