Objektiiveissa

Objektiiveissa is a Finnish indie rock band formed in Helsinki in 2004. The band’s name is a play on words, combining the Finnish word *objektiivi* (objective) with the English term *objective*, while also referencing the word *objektiivi* meaning "lens" in Finnish photography terminology. This duality reflects their eclectic musical style, blending elements of rock, electronic, and experimental music.

The band’s original lineup consisted of vocalist and guitarist Jussi Raittinen, bassist Jussi Lehtisalo, and drummer Mikko Karmila. Their debut album, *Objektiiveissa*, was released in 2006 and showcased their unique sound, characterized by catchy melodies, intricate guitar work, and a mix of live instrumentation with electronic production. The album received critical acclaim for its innovative approach to rock music, earning comparisons to artists like The Flaming Lips and Radiohead.

Objektiiveissa gained further recognition with their 2008 follow-up, *Kunnes*, which expanded their experimental sound while maintaining their signature charm. The band’s music often explores themes of introspection, surrealism, and the interplay between technology and human emotion.
