OPORDs
OPORD stands for Operations Order, a directive that a commander issues to subordinate units to synchronize and execute a specific operation. It translates strategic intent into actionable tasks, timelines, and coordination measures. OPORDs are used at all echelons and across services, including joint and multinational operations. They often follow the five-paragraph format and may be accompanied by annexes.
