Visibility analysis, known as näkyvyysanalyysi in Finnish, is a process used in various fields to determine what can be seen from a specific point or along a particular line of sight. It is commonly employed in urban planning, landscape architecture, environmental studies, and even in military applications. The core concept involves calculating the visual exposure of an object or area from a set of observation points.

In urban planning, näkyvyysanalyysi helps assess the visual impact of new buildings on existing streetscapes or natural landscapes.
