Nonlinéarité refers to systems or functions where the output is not directly proportional to the input. In simpler terms, if you double the input in a nonlinear system, the output will not necessarily double. This is in contrast to linear systems, which exhibit proportionality and superposition. In linear systems, the effect of multiple inputs is the sum of the effects of each individual input, and scaling the input scales the output by the same factor.
