Nobita Nobi, commonly referred to simply as Nobita, is a fictional character in the Doraemon franchise, created by Fujiko F. Fujio. He debuted in the manga in 1969 and has since appeared in numerous anime series, films, and related media. Nobita is a young boy living in Tokyo, usually depicted as in the fourth grade, underachieving academically and physically frail, with limited self-confidence. He is often portrayed as lazy, shy, and frequently anxious about school and social life, yet is also kind-hearted, imaginative, and capable of steady loyalty to his friends.

He is typically accompanied by Doraemon, a robotic cat from the 22nd century who provides him with futuristic gadgets intended to solve problems or improve his life. The stories center on Nobita's attempts to avoid trouble and get what he wants, with gadget-assisted schemes that often lead to unintended consequences and moral lessons. His core circle includes Shizuka Minamoto, his kind and well-regarded classmate and friend, and his friends Takeshi Gian Goda and Suneo Honekawa, who feature prominently in many adventures.
