Nobelwinning
Nobelwinning is an informal term that denotes a person who has been awarded a Nobel Prize. The more standard term in English is Nobel laureate or Nobel Prize winner. The Nobel Prizes were established by Alfred Nobel's will in 1895 and are awarded annually in six categories: Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, Peace, and the Economic Sciences. The latter is commonly referred to as the Nobel Prize in Economics, though it is officially the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences. The prizes are administered by the Nobel Foundation, with selecting committees comprising the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Economic Sciences), the Nobel Assembly at the Karolinska Institute (Medicine), the Norwegian Nobel Committee (Peace), and the Swedish Academy (Literature). Recipients receive a medal, a diploma, and a monetary award.
